Interdisciplinary Healthcare Policy and Management Graduate Certificate

NIU-COL is excited to announce its partnership with the Colleges of Health and Human Sciences, Engineering and Business for the Interdisciplinary Healthcare Policy and Management Graduate Certificate. Taught at NIU’s Naperville campus, this 5-course certificate program provides students with a multi-discipline prospective of healthcare management. Each 3-credit course is taught in 8-weeks with a 3-hour in-class component each week coupled with online exercises.  Courses are taught by members of the faculty from the Colleges of Health and Human Sciences, Engineering, Business and the College of Law. The first course in the series, IDSP 600, Introduction to Interdisciplinary Healthcare Policy and Management, is open for registration now. Per NIU-COL policy, law students may receive up to 6 credits for graduate courses taken outside the law school. Interested law students should contact Prof. Stange for more information.

Delta Theta Pi winter help drive

Delta Theta Phi will be collecting non-perishable food items and winter clothing for Hope Haven until November 23rd.  The collection boxes will be located in the Marshall Gallery and next to Dean Mandell’s office.  Any donations will help!

PAD Giving Tree with Hope Haven

PAD Giving Tree with Hope Haven:  Its not too late to participate in this year's Giving Tree.  We still have many items on the wish-lists!  If you have signed up to donate one of the items from the Giving Tree Wish-list, please bring it in no later than this Tuesday, November 23rd. We will be in the Marshall Gallery from Noon - 1pm. You can also find a PAD member to take your gift. Please try to wrap the gift and mark it with who the gift is for (i.e., Family 5, K1).

If you have not signed up, but would still like to participate, it is no too late! You can still sign up for one of the items on the list and we can arrange a pick-up/drop-off time during finals. With finals coming up, we know everyone is busy! An easier way to help the children at Hope Haven is to make a cash contribution to the Giving Tree. PAD will take any cash donations and do the shopping for you!

If you wish to make cash contribution, please send us an e-mail at NIUPAD@gmail.com, with the
subject: GIVING TREE, and we will personally coordinate details to pick up your donation.

Bar Loan Applications for December Graduates

December Graduates:

If you are planning on graduating in December and taking the February bar, bar loan applications are
available online.  Bar study loans are specifically designed for law students who are about to take the bar
exam.  They assist with bar application costs and living expenses during that period.  Check with your
current student loan lender or other lenders to get the best interest rate for this type of private loan.  Bar
study loans cannot be consolidated with other law school student loans.

The Bar Study Loan Application and Promissory Note must be certified by the University Student
Financial Aid Office prior to graduation.  Complete and sign the application and bring it to the University
Student Financial Aid Office for certification.

NIU does not recommend any particular lender, however the following lenders have been used by other
law students:
