Shining the Light on Domestic Violence Event

The 17th Judicial Circuit Court Family Violence Coordinating Council, Judge Rosemary Collins, Chairperson, and the NIU Law Clinical Program cordially invite you to attend the 14th Annual Shining the Light on Domestic Violence event on Wednesday, October 28 from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. at Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic, Talcott Building, 319 West State Street in Rockford, Illinois.

The Council celebrates its 21st year of local collaborative efforts. This brief ceremony will recognize and honor the work that has been done to improve safety for victims of domestic violence. There will also be a candle light vigil to mourn, support and celebrate victims and survivors of domestic violence.

With presentations by Judge Rosemary Collins, Chairperson of 17th FVCC Clothesline Project; Jackie Stephenson, Local Musician; and Litesa E. Wallace, Representative of Illinois District 67.

On display will be the Rockford Sexual Assault, Inc. Clothesline Project and the 17th FVCC Silhouette Project.

Also, a Shining the Light on Domestic Violence Award will be presented to one community member in recognition of the work done to help end domestic violence in our Circuit.
