Goodman Acker Scholarship Program 2015
Description: The law school scholarship contest is open to students across the United States, who meet any of the following requirements--
Requirements: Students who are currently attending or have been accepted to an accredited law school in the United States. Academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant is a U.S. citizen. Applicants will submit a completed application with their essay entry using our online form.
Essay Topic: Applicants will have a choice to write an essay (3 pages long) on one of the two following topics: 1. As a victim, what are the top 10 things you should ask your personal injury lawyer? 2. How would the world be different if there were no personal injury lawyers?
Award: Check of $1,000, must be used to pay for college tuition and education-related expenses.
Deadline: December 1, 2015

American College of Financial Services Lawyers Writing Competition
Description: The American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers is pleased to announce awards to be presented for: (a) the best book; (b) the best publishable article, book chapter, or substantial book review; or (c) the best student note or comment, on a topic dealing with consumer financial services law.
Requirements: Entries must have been written or published between November 15, 2014 and December 1, 2015.
Award: Cash payment ($2,500 for books; $2,000 for articles, reviews, or book chapters; $1,000 for student work), a certificate of recognition, and travel expenses to attend the Spring 2016 meeting of the college.
Deadline: December 1, 2015

Criteria: Essay on the following topic--This year marks the 80th anniversary of the 21st Amendment. Has it achieved its intended purpose?
Award: Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners in the amounts of $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000 respectively.
