Clinical Program Application Deadlines Update

Thinking about taking a clinic this Summer or Fall? The priority application deadline for Summer 2016 is Wednesday, April 13th at 4:00 p.m. The priority application deadline for Fall 2016 will be at least 1 day after both 2Ls and 3Ls can register for Fall classes. Applications will be accepted on a space available basis after the priority deadline. As part of the COL’s experiential learning program, we offer these clinical courses: the Civil Justice Clinic, the Criminal Defense Clinic, the Foreclosure Mediation Clinic, and the Health Advocacy Clinic. These clinics offer students the chance to work with actual clients in a variety of settings on litigation, transactional and alternative dispute resolution matters. A copy of the Clinic Application and application instructions are available on the NIU Law website.

Reminder: Students matriculating at the College of Law beginning in Fall 2015 (current 1Ls in the class of 2018 or later) are required to complete a clinic or externship to graduate.

Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the clinical faculty if you need any additional information about one of the clinics:
