GSA/L.O.V.E. Ally Training Event January 28th

The Ally Program is a campus-wide program designed to foster a welcoming and supportive campus environment for LGBTQ individuals by creating a visible network of allies. On Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m. in the Riley Courtroom, ally training will be provided by Molly Holmes of the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center. The ally training will also be tailored to law students with topics discussing legal issues and the LGBTQ community. Prior to Molly beginning her portion of the ally training, there will be guest Skype speakers including Robin Dembroff, a PhD candidate at Princeton, as well as others. Breakfast will be provided (bagels and coffee) by the NIU Law Breakfast Club, which will meet in conjunction with the event. Lunch will be provided for as well by the NIU Gay Straight Alliance. The event is also sponsored by Northern Law organization Lawyers Opposing Violence Everywhere. Any questions can be sent to Brandon Evans at
